Girl taking a thyroid test

Protect the children of Fukushima from radiation. Save their lives and futures.

The children of Fukushima are still exposed to the invisible threat of radiation. We are now urgently working to start up the Mothers' Radiation Lab & Clinic Fukushima in April 2017. This center will protect children by providing a one-stop shop to measure radiation in the body and surrounds, and conduct clinical checks for potential physical and psychological impacts of radiation, all in the same place. Help us, the mothers of Fukushima. Protect the children of Fukushima from the effects of radiation. Save their lives and futures.

5 years have passed since the Fukushima nuclear disaster. Watch this to see why a new clinic is desperately needed.

Introducing the Mothers' Radiation Lab Fukushima, and plans for the clinic.

This video was made with the cooperation of
Yu Sanbonsuge, a videographer from Fukushima.

It takes time for the effects of exposure to radiation to appear in the body. We learned from Chernobyl that this can be 5 to 10 years, or even more. This is why it is critical now, 5 years since the Fukushima nuclear accident, to start a clinic. Even if there is no direct exposure to radiation, children also need psychological care to deal with the impacts of the disaster. One mother told us - "At the time, I had to restrict my son's actions to prevent him from being exposed to radiation. But now this is having negative psychological effects."

Help protect the bodies and minds of the children of Fukushima, NOW.

Thyroid cancer is well known as a health risk of exposure to radiation. This clinic will not only check thyroids, but carefully look at many other health risks, including blood tests to judge immunity levels, cataract checks, liver checks and more.

Thanks to the warm support we have received until now, we were able to raise the funds to actually build the clinic. Now, your help is needed to increase the facilities and equipment for medical checks; expand the clinic hours, which are completely dependent on voluntary doctors; and last but not least, to provide vital blood tests to children under 18 for free.
